Moon

The moon is not the most important natural element to my people. As a coastal group, the water, sea and tides matter most. This is what we are told about the ancients.

So we use tidal changes in a similar way as others use moon phases. The beauty of this is that tides are of course affected by the moon.

The going out tide is like the waning moon; the coming in like the waxing.
